Border Agents C-Block Fake Viagra

counterfeit_Viagra595Canadian men today might be thinking, ahem, long and hard about ordering erectile dysfunction pills online after a report that border officials and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police have seized 15,000 parcels of phony drugs at the border.

Law enforcement opened its doors to the media on Thursday in an effort to get the word out about the seizures and about the dangers of ordering pills when you don’t know what’s in them, according to a report in the Edmonton Sun. Importing pharmaceutical drugs is illegal anyway.

“You have no idea what is in the product and how it will affect you,” said Sgt. Duncan Pound, the RCMP’s border integrity spokesman. “You are playing Russian roulette with your health.”

Wait, just one second. The name of the dude talking about erectile dysfunction pills is Sgt. Pound? You can’t make this stuff up.

A mountain of seized pills was on display at the Vancouver International Mail Centre, including a box full of 5,000 fake Viagra packages that officials discovered Wednesday, the report says.

Canada is getting involved in a worldwide crackdown on the counterfeit drug, led by Interpol, but in the meantime they’re giving guys some advice.

“If you order online,” Pound said, “you are almost certainly throwing your money away.”

Canadian Man Pepper Sprayed at Border for Demanding Officer Say ‘Please’

A Canadian man says he was pepper sprayed by a U.S. Border Patrol agent at a crossing just east of Vancouver after asking the agent to say, “Please.”

The National Post reports the man, Coquitlam, B.C., resident Desiderio Fortunato, refused to turn his car off when the agent asked him to because the agent didn’t ask nicely.

“I refused to turn off the car until he said please. He didn’t. And he has the gun, I guess, so he sprayed me,” Fortunato told the paper. “Is that illegal in the United States, asking an officer to be polite?”

The best part of this story is the comments from Canadian readers, who railed against Fortunato.

“Your arrogance makes it difficult for the other Canadians to cross without difficulty,” wrote one commenter, dodgerguy. “I hope they ban you from the U.S. for five years. Guys like you give us other Canadians a bad reputation.”

It’s all about perspective, I guess. What do you all think? Did he deserve it? Should the officer have said “please”?
